My name’s Denver Mayers, dun be laughin’ now. My sister’s name was Dakotah, and me wee brothers were Maine and Ohio. I just think me da’ had a love for giving us all names to get us beat up at school with. I got the name Double D when I was a teenager though…thanks to being a drummer (Drummer Denver, terribly clever, I know) in the band Reticulating Spleens. Why the producers chose that picture up there, I have no darn clue. What the heck? I don’t say darn and heck, are ye censoring me!?

…oh bugger it all.

This is me story then…

This was me humble abode when I first started out, it’s cosy…but I designed it meself. It had to be off the ground on acound of me being a mite paranoid about creepy crawlies.

Turns out walls are hell expensive, yanno? So I had ‘em keep all the important stuff as related for necessary input and output (kitchen and bathroom) in doors….

All the sleeping, reading and uh…what’s that, oh yeah, if you look carefully you can see the horrible chair. Comfy as all get out, but still…me Okasan…or mum woulda had a fit if she saw it. Here’s a tip for all ye sadistic types…wanna drive a woman crazy, show her fugly furniture and tell her she can sit on it.

Dun ask me what the point of this picture is…seriously, the photographer in this can’t take pictures worth crap. But ahh, putting together that shelf was fun, I think they ‘ave my thought bubble cut off cuz I was thinkin’ in a rated R level. Strong language…violence…have ye ever dropped a cinder block on your foot? No? Trust me, ye’d be calling…okay, moving on now…

Now I’m gonna squash any thought ’bout me right here. See this? I read. I’m educated…I dun have long hair because I’m lazy and me face couldn’t get a part time job as a flour sifter because I’m stupid. I just like it this way, takes people by surprise. Got it? Okay…and good god, if one person asks me if I think my badboy days will bite me in the butt…(Oh GOD, that word’s in the bible, why is it being censored?!?!)

Didn’t ye all already see this one…well, I started to get a bit settled in. I had to clean everythin’ again. The place was filthy…ye wouldn’t have been smiling either. Damnable construction workers leaving their filth everywhere….

I had to read some Dickens to get settled back down, always cheers me up that Dickens fellow. You think that taking a leak, showering, and cooking in the same room while sleeping outside and reading from a book shelved made from boards and concrete blocks is truely miserable and then you read a good Dicken’s story and think…well damn, my life’s not as crap as these folks! And it brings a smile to ye face right away…

It’s a common misconception that us knowledge sims get a educational pleasure outta using this thing but let me tell ya….ye use it during the day? And ye see things that’ll give you nightmares. There’s this man who lives…old guy, real famous in the whole Sim reality, yeah..Mortimer Goth or summat…my little sis has a poster of him. All I’m sayin’ is…when ye reach a certain age, bein’ naked should be against the law. Ye should have to bathe fully clothed…I’m just saying….

And that about sums up me first day and all that rubbish. I just wanted to get some sleep at this point…mebbe if you’re good, I’ll tell ye more later on. Like about me job, me best friend and…getting walls or something. That’s all from me. Double D out!

Egads! They used that picture? Wow, like…I totally didn’t want them to. As you can see…the concept of starting college was a little bit daunting. (Look! I learned that word on my word calendar, Daunting) Atleast my hair looked good…Oh right! Hi guys. I’m Isabella Romain Drury, most folks just call me Izzy or Dru. And this…is my story.

It all started here for me. Cheercamp ended and with my new university cheerleading uniform I found a nice little room in Canyon Dorms. I’d heard it wasn’t really tiny but not crazy go nuts huge so it fit. It had maybe…8 rooms? I just know I had to quickly claim mine.

Isn’t is so pretty! I love green, I’m a vegetarian health nut and an undercover hippie, so this color is my favorite. I’m big on sports too as you can see. The room was a total disaster before I hooked it up.

Choosing a major was tough for me, but I finally settled on a Drama major. Learning how to professionally ‘put on a front’ would come really handy in any future profession involving the Limelight. That’s where I want to be…center stage baby.

After getting the important stuff out of the way, I had to go on my tour. Get a lay of the land and all that. This is the ‘cafeteria’. I think she was still serving pancakes at this point….She being Lisa. We all called her Mama Lis…I miss her somtimes. But she had this policy that if you wanted to talk to her…

…You had to help her out around the kitchen. I didn’t mind though, she was alot like my own mother. I grew up in a household where yeah, we had help around the house but I still had chores to do. I agreed to work part time for her, and then continued on my way.

I had to spend some time chilling with my homegirl Gwen Lewis. She’s on my squad and while we aren’t bosum buddies, here we are…bonding over a nice game of chess. Well we were until one of the roomates, Abbey I think her name was decided to start cracking jokes. I’ve heard…just about all of them.

Here I am again, breaking stereotypes. A cheerfreak with a book. Oh noes! Hehe…

Here’s the one thing that took me a back, I don’t mind sharing showers I just…I -know- there are usually stalls where I’ve had to shower before. I went into the bathroom and well…

I had to call Gwen in to show her. Riiiight, so I’ll be getting to know lots of my girl roomates from a butt first perspective. Great.

Isabella: They’ve got computers in certain dorm rooms and…they couldn’t spring for some kind of stalls?

Gwen: Shhh, I’m watching the game.

…She’s not that good in casual conversation, I swear.

One of the roomates, Anthony…a real business minded geek decided to chip in with this long explanation about the budgeting of certain things…I pretended to be interested. Gwen just got up and left me there. Thanks alot girl! Really!

This is another one of our roomates, Crystal Vu. She had the biggest crush on this dude named ‘Justus’ but he wouldn’t give her the time of day. She was wicked smart though…completely and totally whipped me in Chess -every- time.

Isabella: So chica…ever been on a cruise?

Crystal: Your mediocre attempts at distraction only make you look foolish and draw out your inevitable defeat. It is your move.

…The girl also has no sense of personal grooming so I forgave her lack of humor. Seriously? Pigtails? Are so last expansion.

So there you have a little bit about me. I didn’t even have class that first day, but I slept like a little baby in preparation. I can’t wait to share more with you…I’ll say this much though, that was the only night since starting college that I got a full night’s sleep.

Beauty, Brains, and Babies are three categories that I chose to target with my families. This might sound insane but it goes as following.

Beauty = Popularity or Fortune Aspiration = Focus on becoming the well to do family in High Society = Strangetown Neighborhood

Brains = Knowledge Aspiration = Focus on becoming leaders in the Medical or Science community = Pleasantview Neighborhood

Babies = Family Aspiration = Focus on creating a Happy Home with a large family and good friends = Veronaville Neighborhood

By putting my legacy sims in developed communities, I have the chance to make sure the townies they may or may not marry aren’t residents and that’s just loads of fun. I’ve gotten proficient enough at these things to know how to start my families off with four walls, or atleast a foundation…also I’m using the Legacy Challenge + My own Challenge for guidence and the challenge more than anything else. My rules were very simple.

1. Just like My Old Man - In this addition, the heir of the founder must take the same career as the Male parent. This changes every other generation. So while the first heir might have to become a doctor like his father, the heir of the heir can choose a different profession but his child must follow in his footsteps. So every 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th Generation allows for their to be a new profession to be chosen. If the founder is a woman, then this is made null and void unless you wish to implement it.

2. BFF (Best Friends Forever) - In this addition, the founder and every heir thereafter, must have and sustain a close friendship with someone outside of their home. They must maintain this relationship until their death. This isn’t so hard, just regular calls are important.

3. Honeymoon Holdout - Delayed gratification, a sim may be as woohoo crazy as you so wish but they may not woohoo with the sim they are to marry until AFTER they are married. This makes the night/morning/whenever more…eh, special?

And these were the only things I decided to put into place for myself. I chose to only put one of my sims through the beautiful experience that was college because the rules there are a bit vague for me, that just made me collect over 200 pictures for the college years -alone-. So I am approaching this from a reality TV show like angle. Each one of these families had to go through an intense interview process and out of 35 potentials, only 3 were chosen for this experience. So without further adieu, let me give you a sneak preview of the Founders.

For Beauty, we have the lovely Miss Isabella Romain Drury.

Cancer is the fourth sign of the Zodiac and associated with family and domesticity. The captain of her cheerleading squad, she says most people see her as a bit of a diva ditz, but that just comes with the mantle of ‘Cheerleader’ and looking good doing it. She’s always been the “hot” girl but she says there’s more to her than her looks. Most people are surprised to find out that her hobbies include Chess and Pool. Her three main interests are Fashion, Culture, and the Environment. She got into La Fiesta Tech on a cheer scholarship and her lifetime aspiration is to be a Hall of Famer.

For the Brains we have Denver Mayers.

Denver Mayers was the adopted child prodigy of a Asian/American family. His own parents died in a tragic house fire accident when he was just a toddler, so he grew up fluent in Japanese, German and Simlish. He graduated at 16, and was pre-med for a while before taking on this challenge. Just looking at him however, you would never guess that he has a passion for learning. He’s an Aspiring Doctor and formerly part of an alternative goth/glam rock band called Reticulating Spleens. They split up when he was 18. At the age of 19 now, he’s taking on this challenge fearlessly and hoping that people can see beyond his pretty boy with lots of holes in his face exterior. He was the only male to make it into the challenge.

Last but not least, we have the Babies representative: Karl Anna Warfield

Karl Warfield is aware that she has a boys name, but she’s an army brat, raised by her father after an unforunate dose of impure elixir took her mother away from her. She was in ROTC and moved around alot with her father. She’s got a real passion for crime and the prevention thereof, things that cannot be explained such as her mother’s death (paranormal) and of course providing enough money for her future family. One thing that stood out about her was her down to earth personality and although she’s self-concious about her appearance, namely her freckles and scars she is sure she wants to settle down and have a family. She may not be the most lady like but she’s a romantic at heart.
